Maureen Stiller

Maureen Stiller is the Honorary Secretary of the Jane Austen Society. We look forward to her talk on January 8th when she will speak about Jane’s life and her influence on the development of the modern novel.

Maureen has been a fan of Jane Austen since her schooldays.  She retired from the Civil Service in 1991 and has worked as an administrator or project manager for a few charities. She joined the Jane Austen Society in 1991 and has been successively Membership Secretary and Secretary of the London branch for several years. On full retirement in 2005 she became Hon Secretary of the Society. She also gives Society talks to community groups.
