Our Nov ’25 meeting features a talk on Dylan Thomas by Josh Brown. Josh is an author and poet and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). He is chairman of Portsmouth Poetry, an editor and podcaster with a lifelong love of theatre and the arts. He was a lecturer in business and management and from 2009-2015 was the chair of the trust overseeing the rebuilding of the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth, in partnership with the University of Portsmouth.
He is the author of “Undying Love : The Enigma of Dylan Thomas.” Part biography, part literary analysis, “Unjudging Love” reveals the true Dylan Thomas, a compassionate Welshman – in his own words ‘part beast, part angel and part madman.” Josh describes
Thomas as “a towering genius of modern poetry; the original stand up poet, rock star, rap star and media innovator who needs to be extricated from cliche and distortion.”
