Alan Green

Alan Green is a local historian, who will join us for our 6th September meeting when he will explore the life of Charles Crocker, the poet,  born in Chichester. in 1797 to a poor family.

Alan Green writes and lectures widely on Chichester’s history and the art and architecture of Georgian Britain. He gives talks at the local Record Office. Alan was awarded an Honorary MA by the University of Chichester in 2022.

As well as conducting walks around his native city, he lectures widely on Georgian subjects and represents the Georgian Group on the Chichester Conservation Area Advisory Committee.
