Our September 2017 meeting was a delightful presentation by actress Elizabeth Cassie on The Language of Love. Her readings ranged from Sappho and Ovid to the more familiar territory of Wordsworth, Betjeman, Herrick, Dylan Thomas, Ted Hughes, Sylvia Plath, Yeats and the poets of the sixties, such as Adrian Henri and Brian Patten. There was something old and something new for all of us to enjoy with more than 30 poets featured. Elizabeth kindly shared her list with us which was circulated to all our members after the event.
