Douglas Kerr

Douglas Kerr recently retired after more than thirty years at the University of Hong Kong, where he was Professor of English and Dean of Arts. His first book was on the Great War poet Wilfred Owen, and he is also the author of George Orwell, and Eastern Figures: Orient and Empire in British Writing. He is the author of Conan Doyle: Writing, Profession and Practice, published by Oxford University Press in 2013 (paperback 2015). He is the General Editor of the Edinburgh University Press edition of the Works of Conan Doyle, and is at work on a new edition of Conan Doyle’s autobiography, Memories and Adventures.
